COLAZAL (BALSALAZIDE DISODIUM): Balsalazide is used to treat a certain bowel disease (ulcerative colitis). It helps to reduce symptoms of ulcerative colitis such as diarrhea, rectal bleeding, and stomach pain. Balsalazide belongs to a class of drugs known as aminosalicylates. Fosamax damaged my mother in extreme and numerous ways. A couple of years after taking it, her jaw/teeth began to become deformed. They became so bad that she needed all her teeth pulled out. For a year, she could not eat solid food. Now, she has dentures, but it's been very problematic, too, and she can still barely eat. She's been emaciated for a long time. Also, she has serious GI issues, chronic pain all over, and many other painful, severe medical problems. She is only in her early 60s, but is in much worse condition than people decades older. In short, Fosamax has made her face/jaw deformed (ONJ), made her lose all her teeth, caused long-term emaciation, chronic pain, and much more. She is homebound and barely living because of Fosamax. It's caused a host of severe, life-threatening disabilities for her.
My son's behavior changed so dramatically that I was looking into him seeing a child pyschologist. I noticed that his violent and depressive mood swings coincided with his taking the medication. As soon as I took him off of it he was fine! I was so relieved to see that others had the same concern.
I have only been on it 2 days and I have this funny feeling in my head. I feel these weird brain sensations. Almost like needles poking my brain. I am also on concerta, but am trying the cymbalta for depression. These are the weirdest side effects I have ever fealty. Almost feel like electricity is tuning through my body and I am real jittery. Will this go away? Has anyone else experienced this?
Had Norplant inserted at age 16 and removed after the 5 yr period ended. I didn't get pregnant so I'd have to say im satisfied. I'm thin and the norplants were always very visible in my arm. Over the 5 yrs, one rod separated from the others and eventually disappeared from view. When the doctor went to remove them it took about 3 mins to get the first five and two hours looking for the sixth. She never did find the missing one. I was assured at the time it wouldn't matter and there would be no ill effects from leaving one inside my body. I think to myself now... How would she know what the long term effects would be??? They were put in in 1997 and taken out in 2002... Hadn't been too long on the market at that point. I've had hormonal abnormalities, ovarian cysts, migraines, and pervasive mental illness in the 13 yrs since they were removed. I also became pregnant (for the first time) about 6 months after the removal and miscarried. I've since had two healthy babies, one in '04 and one in '10 but the little one was diagnosed with autism at 18 months. I can't say for sure how much if any of these events are directly related to the norplants. I won't even try to guess. But I do wonder from time to time whatever became of that little silicone rod thats still in me somewhere.........

I take 800mg, for pain that comes out of no where.
After 2 months I am experiencing severe itching, rash on back. My complexion horrible now, Experiencing major hair loss. You sleep very well. Side effects start after a month. Insurance refuses to cover is very expensive. Hope is not hard to get off of only on a couple months.
I have always taken other meds with Wellbutrin, so I am actually not sure how effective it is on its own (starting to wonder if it is at all?)I do know that my anxiety level increases with every med increase of this drug. I developed periodic insomnia with Wellbutrin.
