SYNAREL (NAFARELIN ACETATE): Nafarelin is used in women to treat a condition in which the tissue that normally lines the inside of the uterus grows in the wrong place (endometriosis). This medication helps to decrease the abnormal tissue and also the symptoms of endometriosis (such as pelvic pain, painful menstrual cramps, and pain during/after sex). This medication is also used in children to treat a certain type of early puberty (central precocious puberty, gonadotropin-dependent). It helps to slow the bone aging and height growth rate so that both are near normal, and it helps to stop or reverse signs of early puberty (such as breast growth in girls, growth of sexual organs in boys). Nafarelin is similar to a natural hormone made by the body (gonadotropin-releasing hormone-GnRH). It works by decreasing the testosterone hormones in boys and estrogen hormones in women and girls. So thankful for this! I had tried synthetic progesterone (aygestin) which was too strong for me but this plant-based version is just right!
I was on cymbalta 30mg but am trying to get preg. MD told me to try Well XL. bc it was Cat. B, Cym. is Cat C. I liked the med. fine, but I would get a severe headache at least once a day. I could barely work. I waited to see if it would wear off, but it didn't. MD said that a large percent of patients would have this sideeffect. I gained weight, don't know if it was drug or not or just being misreable for 3 weeks straight. If you have this prob. try Cymbalta.

I can't be sure since I am on many RX's but I think weight gain other than that nothing.
I wish I had been informed about this drug. It's dangerous and causes PTSD and severe anxiety. The oral surgeon lied to me and said it was a mild tranquilizer and pain killer
Finally something that isnt narcotic and it works. I'm starting to think even better than adderall. I'm retaining information so much better than I have in a very long time.
I wouldn't recommend this to anyone. Once getting I'd say my 2nd injection I felt like a totally different person and not in a good way. I can see why its very effective birth control it makes you so mean no one would want to touch you. My face has broken out terribly. My hairs thin. I have no energy at all. I ache. I feel alot older than I am from it. And I have been getting two periods a month. I have not had an injection in over a month and still feel side effects. Matter a fact I had a period two weeks ago and got another. I still feel very edgy. It would be nice to know when this crap will be out of my system. Its terrible! If anyone would like to share similar experiences or might know how long this crap takes to wear off email me.
