Side Effects for Edarbyclor (azilsartan kamedoxomil; chlorthalidone)

EDARBYCLOR (AZILSARTAN KAMEDOXOMIL; CHLORTHALIDONE): This medication is used to treat high blood pressure (hypertension). Lowering high blood pressure helps prevent strokes, heart attacks, and kidney problems. This product contains two medications: azilsartan and chlorthalidone. Azilsartan works by relaxing blood vessels so blood can flow more easily. It belongs to a class of drugs called angiotensin receptor blockers (ARBs). Chlorthalidone causes your body to get rid of extra salt and water by making more urine. It is called a "water pill" or diuretic. I've been taking the 12hr one pill everyday at noonish or later and it works great. It actually, subtly, "picks" me up and helps me focus after staying up late studying. Has an effect of waking up your brain/alertness. Add a cup of coffee and your in buisiness! Must drink lots of water though. No depression, no sexual dysfunction at all.

This medication did absolutely NOTHING for me. No help for the ADD, no help in quiting smoking. Add to that the pretty severe risk of a seizure if you have ANY alcohol, I decided not to take it anymore. All risk with no benefits for me....YMMV

Extremely heavy menstrual periods that last about 2 weeks, Slight Irritability, Dizziness, Drowsiness during the day, and Restlessness at night. How Fun! :(

Breast tenderness, heavy periods, severe cramping, nausea, (I always felt carsick.) mood swings, people not getting me fuc*ed up. Also get cramps when I’m not on my period.

Mild Diarreah, just for the first 2 weeks, severe heartburn, tiredness. Helped my anxiety I take 25 mg at night, along with 7.5 mg of buspar, together they work out very well.

Always have to be cautious of constipation. Biggest problem now is DEA cracking down on legitimate cancer centers like Vanderbilt. All of the doctors are scared to death and admit they are no longer in charge of my healthcare. Tried to change and no doctor would go near me. They scraped the sheath of of a very large nerve and told me I would have pain for life. I don't think they thought I would live this long.

Other than the hair thinning problem, side effects are practically nil.

I am so tired. All the time. I can have nightmares. Sweat dripping off me in the morning. if i miss a dose I am in a daze. I can get cold alot. Body jerks, My body can feel bruised all over. I got dizzy and feel over once. lowering my dose also. i am suppose to go down. 30 mg. but.. dam I don't wanna hurt or get sick. driving sometimes when going up or down off this is not smart.

Slight drowsiness if already fatigued.

I felt fine the first two days, now I am experiencing feelings of anxiety, faitness, head fogginess and headaches all within two hours of taking it. These symptoms seem to decrease with time. This is the first medication I have been on and hoping the side effects don't increase over time. This forum has been helpful, thank you to all of the people who have taken the time to post.
