LIDOCAINE (LIDOCAINE): Lidocaine is used to temporarily numb and relieve pain from minor burns (including sunburn), skin abrasions, insect bites, and other painful conditions affecting mucous membranes. Some lidocaine products are used to numb the lining of the mouth or throat before certain medical/dental procedures. It is also used to decrease pain while dentures are being fitted and while your gums are adjusting to the dentures. It should not be used long-term to decrease pain from poorly fitting dentures. Lidocaine belongs to a class of drugs called local anesthetics. This product should not be used to treat teething pain in infants and young children due to an increased risk of serious side effects. The nurse from UMMC instructed me to dissolve 15 capfuls into 64 ounces of miralax. After a half hour I drank 10 ounces of Gatorade with the medicine mixed in and I started feeling side effects and after an hour it got worse. For a normal bowel movement you are only supposed to have a cap full not 15. I only have one cup down, five more to go. They wanted me to drink it all within 4-6 hours. I'm taking my time with this, probably going to take double the time, 10-12 hours for me to drink this.
I have tried almost everything, I don't know why this drug is not used more for HBP. I read some studies about Teveten, and it always out performed other HBP medicines with no side effects. When I tell people I take Teveten, the generic version, they have never heard of it. Teveten is no longer on the market, only the generic version of it is available. Ask for it....absolutely no side effects and it works at lowering blood pressure!
I have taken Bactrim DS (and generic) before for same reasons with no problems but this time was way differant. I have never had an allergic reaction to any medicine before this. And this time it didnt even clear the infection!
MAJOR WEIGHT GAIN 15lbs IN ONE MONTH ...Lost of sex drive, very depress, sugar became very low, the worst mood swing something like multipersonality.What I really hate the most about this pill is the weight gain. I am a workout and nutrition freak.I weight train 3 days a week, teach 2 hours of spinning class 4 days a week, and run 3 miles 5 days a week. You don't have to be a rocket scientist to figure out that I burn more calories that I consume. And I gain 15 lbs. ;-(P.S- My previous weight was 135 and I' 5'8

still having the spasms in neck, still having the chest pain due to reflux but now reading this thread am realizing this constant terrible muscle cramping and all over muscle pain and tightness all over is due to this medicine. I did not have any issues with my muscles before starting this med.

This is my second posting to update,hoping it will help someone else.(First posting 12-12-10.I strongly believe that actonel caused my leukemia.If you have taken actonel,watch for an elevation in WBC and contact the FDA and Procter & Gamble.According to P & G "s clinical trials leukemia is a rareside effect.Contact them yourself and ask.
