Needed BC but estrogen intolerant
The first night I took it I woke up in the middle of the night feeling like I had the flu. I had stomach problems and nightsweats. I remember almost feeling like I was on LSD. I called the doctor and he told me to take it in the morning. After I switched to the morning it was much easier to tolerate.
When I stopped taking Effexor after being on it for about 3 years, my doctor first reduced my dosage to 75 mg (I had been on 150) then down to 37.5. I had no problems when I was taking it. It was when I stopped taking the 37.5 that I started experiencing what are now referred to as brain shivers. Every few seconds, I felt like I was getting an electrical zap in my brain. It was unpredictable and awful. It lasted over a month, probably about 6 weeks. The benefits of the medicine when I was taking it were not enough to make it worth it. The withdrawal was horrible.
Scariest drug I've ever taken. Pain and irritation in vaginal area, but worse was vertigo. It was so bad I thought I was having a stroke. I couldn't walk from my bed to the bathroom by myself for 2 days. I was vomiting, afraid to move my head and afraid to eat.
I read all of the side effects and start freaking out... but I must say that my experiences are a little different. I had bad anxiety before the meds, I still have the anxiety, but it doesn't bother me? if that makes sense? I have really blurred vision, thought my prescription glasses were suddenly broken. But I am still functional.. as for libido, I have a hardcore sex drive, always have, but I find it difficult to actually get an erection and to ejaculate.. A HUGE problem for me is the dry mouth, which is causing severe Halitosis (bad breath) .. to the point where my boyfriend can't have my mouth near his.. It is as though the bad breath from the dry mouth is worse than the stench from the smoking.. he has assured me that it is indeed really bad.. so I'm gonna try Therabreath products till I am done with these pills. Dreaming.. I have amazing, vivid dreams. I love this side effect because I NEVER!!! remember my dreams, and now I am having 3 - 4 every night.. is amazing.. Have a tad b
Jittery feeling when I haven't eaten in a while. Loss of sex drive :(
Did not upset my stomach or disorient me like other pain medicines
White discharge, abdominal pain while using it!
I am on 20mg.It did lower my cholesterol, and with apparently no side effects at first, but lately I seem to have blurred vision, occasional nausea.
POISON!!!!!!! Where is the FDA???
