Know just helps with my pain but when it wears off I am bk to suve.pain.whats one supposed to do I suffering with back pain, iatis hernia. Cerebral pasley,and depression and anxiety attacks. This time last year I was happy and able to eat food now I am in severe pain when I eat little amounts,and I am sick. At times I've lost a lot of weight.and crying 😢 what do I need to do now and I have a small kidney stone in my left kidney.but that doesn't seem to bother,me, any suggestions please. Julienne
I have degenerative disk disease.
I take 30mg. 5 times per day but the option for the #5 wasn't listed. As the years pass my pain gets worse & worse. This medicine doesn't work very well. It helps a very little bit. my pain raiting is 6 to 7 daily (while on my meds.) yet my doctor will not change my meds.! Also I am on the immediate release tabs, not the timed release. I would like to be on something that works BETTER without having to take so many pills! There are several other meds. that I have to take every day in adition to these. So if you know of something that works better without taking so many pills please let me know. Also I am concerned with what all of these pills are doing to my internal organs. My doc. never tests me for that he only tests me to make sure that I am not taking more than 5 per day or drugs that are not prescribed to me, which is something that I have never done!
I was started on codeine in 1984 and progressed through vicodin, percocet, then to Oramorph which I am on now. I have had no adverse effects. One time the VA sent me MS Contin instead of Oramorph and it did not work as well. I had to take immediate release morphine to get ANY pain relief.
I hope I do not continue to have difficulties getting Oramorph; the MS Contin worked on me more like a placebo and I was in constant severe pain.
stoped up all the time, doesn't work have as well as ms contin my nose runs all the time and it just doesn't keep the pain down like the ms did.
for some unknown reason the va has change to this kind of morphine and as for me I don't care for it at all,but have to take it or do with out which is no choise at all after being on these kind of mes for the last ten years.
I was on Avinza, which made me feel disorinated,and confusedoramorph sr, is so much better, i feel much better, and the painlevel is adaquate to Avinza
i quit oxycontin after 2 months because it stoned me out of my mind! by comparison, i get no
much more effective than other generics. But I cant find it at any pharmacies now.
so tired! and i felt like outta it like i was on some illegal drugs or something but it took away the pain!
dont take this on a regular basis. not for ppl that like to take drugs cuz ull get addicted and this is some hardcore dangerous stuff but dont take my advice take your doctors

ORAMORPH SR (MORPHINE SULFATE): This medication is used to help relieve severe ongoing pain (such as due to cancer). Morphine belongs to a class of drugs known as opioid (narcotic) analgesics. It works in the brain to change how your body feels and responds to pain. The higher strengths of this drug (100 milligrams or more per tablet) should be used only if you have been regularly taking moderate to large amounts of opioid pain medications. These strengths may cause overdose (even death) if taken by a person who has not been regularly taking opioids. Do not use the extended-release form of morphine to relieve pain that is mild or that will go away in a few days. This medication is not for occasional ("as needed") use. I have lighter periods than I did on Ortho-TriCyclen.
Still works moderately well on my depression, but at a great cost. For the last number of years I have developed a growing case of insomnia that has worsened to the point where I can no longer get to sleep before 2 AM. Also, just by missing one pill can be a nightmare on the psyche. What with the incapacitating fatigue and amplified state of depression!

I HATE vicodin!! Makes me so sick, weak and depressed!! I would choose percocet any day over this junk! Hope doc switches me back asap!!
Know that you SHOULD NOT consume any alcohol while on it. Marketed under two different name - Zyban (as a stop smoking aid) and Wellbutrin (as an antidepressant). Some health care plans will only cover cost if prescribed as Wellbutrin and not as Zyban.
Vivid dreams and restless sleep after taking requip for 2 weeks.Felt like I didn't sleep at all during the night.
FDA needs to pull this horrible drug off the market and I think doctors need to be more truthful about side effects and leave it up to the person if they want to risk the side effects or the disease. This is one medicine when the side effects are worse than the disease!!!
