ACTIQ (FENTANYL CITRATE): This medication is used to help relieve sudden (breakthrough) cancer pain in people who are regularly taking moderate to large amounts of opioid pain medication. Fentanyl belongs to a class of drugs known as opioid (narcotic) analgesics. It works in the brain to change how your body feels and responds to pain. Weight gain was common throughout taking the pills. The first month I took them I experienced bad diarrhea, spotting, and cramps before my period was due. I also went in and out of depressed mood and got hives. I do not recommend this.
all top 10 side effects come and go... now my feet are all but constant cold/needle like pinching and my rt arm upper aches lower elbow down numb tingle ect off and on all day and night.. now since taking this i have hypertention??? and my liver needs to be checked... enzyme issues now... never had anything like this with warfin and my doc says if you can tollerate it keep taking it... now after complaining again.. - I cant take you off this..... talk to the vascular doc.... smh
It would be perfect except for that unfortunate side effect. And ween off if you chose, but verrry slowly. Withdrawl is horrible.
I began taking this medicine for insomnia after quitting Remeron. While taking Remeron, I gained weight, suffered back pain, and experienced considerable irritability. I like Desyrel much better because the side effects are minimal in comparison. I feel quite groggy in the morning after just 25mg at night, however. Taking this with a light snack is crucial for its effectiveness for me; I didn't realize this at first because I was nauseous after quitting Remeron and did not want to eat. I plan to ask my psychiatrist if I can try a 12.5 mg dose and see if I can sleep through the night without morning grogginess. I have occasional problems with waking during the night.
Extremely fatigued, extreme dizziness, dry mouth, bad taste in mouth, causes a "Flu-like" Symptoms. Have every side effect described in "harmful side effects"!! I Do Not Recommend! Reporting to CFDC it can cause Aseptic Brain Symptoms.
First night I went to bed I woke up sweating. Second night I woke up had horrible nightmare couldn't go back to sleep. Had anxiety and numbness in my feet and hands. And everything looked blurry. Will never take this poll again
I started taking vicoprofin after the doctor who did my bone marrow biopsy hit a nerve he wasn't supposed to. Vicoprofin got rid of the pain, but I was dizzy and throwing up everything I ate. Not really recommended.
