Lidex (fluocinonide) Side Effects, Uses Dosages

Side Effects for Lidex (fluocinonide)

I used on a "as needed" basis, for about a few months back in 2003. Rash cleared up and never returned.

None so far, but have only been using it for a week. Not suppose to be a long term cream.

Helped with the itching, but am concerned with the side effects of long term use. Will switch to a natural product as soon as possible.

LIDEX (FLUOCINONIDE): This medication is used to treat a variety of skin conditions (e.g., psoriasis, eczema, dermatitis, allergies, rash). Fluocinonide reduces the swelling, itching, and redness that can occur in these types of conditions. It also can heal the rough, scaly patches on the skin seen with psoriasis. This medication is a very strong (super-high-potency) corticosteroid. (Sources: U.S. Centers for Medicare Services, FDA)

I've been taking Nasonex now for 5 years and generally don't have side effects like noosebleeds etc. I take it because I lose my sense of taste and smell when I'm off it. It helps, I guess, because I've tried to live without it for a couple of months and couldn't smell or taste. When I went back on it I got my sense of smell and taste back within a couple of days. However, I experience a hangover-like condition every once in a while in the mornings (I take it before bedtime). I have a headache in form of a constant pressure behind my left eye, nausea, fatigue. It really feels like a hangover without having any alcohol the night before. Haven't experienced heart palpitations etc. but some difficulty falling asleep. Price is outrageous. I wish I could live without it.

This is my miracle drug! It was after adding altace to my beta-blocker and diuretic hypertensive treatment that I was finally able to get my bp down to normal - before taking Altace, my hypertension was out-of-control for 5 1/2 years! I feel like I've been given a second shot at life!

If you are satisfied w this drug, I'm happy for you. Definitely not right for me. I feel more depressed several months in, I have all the muscles aches, leg pain, and feeling of unwell all the time, weight gain, I am tapering myself off this, it is horrible, the side effects are worse than what you were originally prescribed it for. I cant stand to go to a restaurant or other places where people are loud and having fun. It's awful! Please be careful about starting this med

Appetite/craving loss. Lost 10 pounds in about a month with no effort, had a lot more energy. Pretty bad headaches that stopped after about a week (I am on it again after being off for several months and have headaches again)This time around I have insomnia - the Animal Planet channel is great at 3am.

I am happy that I can take a drug for this type 2 diabetes disease that is only once a week while I actively exercise and don't eat much.

I had no problems with the brand name Yasmin which I took for 12-18 months. It improved my sub-surface cystic acne. I have been on the generic Ocella for nearly two years now and I can't wait for my next checkup to change it. The generic has not helped with my acne and I believe it to prevent my skin from healing. Now when I get a little mosquito bite or small surface scratch it scars. I have a bunch of rediculous little scars all over. I have put on 15-20 pounds with no change in diet or exercise routine. No change in other medications over the past 3-4 years. I see many other people commenting about depression. I never figured it could be related but I have been treated for depression in the past few years also.

Rash over body, vision disturbances, very dizzy, cramping like im dehydrated after taking 2nd dose, throat feels more swollen
